Road resurfacing in Eagle Park (Pelican Park)

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate would like to advise residents and road users of roadworks along Candelabra Crescent, Shoveller Road, Sparrowhawk Road, Partridge Road, Moorhen Road, Haroon Street, Shukoor Hoosain Way, Auriel Road, Spoonbill Crescent, Sunbird Link and Spoonbill Close. The work is planned to commence today, 31 March 2025, until Wednesday, 30 April 2025, provided there are no unforeseen delays. Roadworks will be between 08:30 and 15:30, Monday to Friday.

‘Let me start with thanking Eagle Park residents and road users for their patience during the course of this infrastructure-led project that aims to keep Cape Town moving on good quality roads. We will be working on quite a number of roads in this area up until 30 April 2025 and I would urge motorists to consider alternative routes to minimise delays,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.

The work entails the resurfacing of roads, replacement of selected damaged manholes, catch pits, frames and chambers where necessary.

Road users can expect partial lane closures and are asked to adhere to all temporary road signs in the area.
Once completed, new road markings will be applied to improve road safety and visibility
